With summer rapidly approaching my toes are eager to escape from the closed toed shoes and boots I've worn all winter and spring. My favorite is the espadrille because it always reminds me of vacationing in exotic locales, but without the expensive plane ticket or missing luggage!
Espadrilles are characterized by their braided jute rope soles, but uppers can be made from anything from traditional canvas to brightly colored ribbons.
